Daylight Saving Time STINKS!

While it’s certainly been nice to never miss another show because I’d forgotten the rest of the world changed time, while Indiana stayed behind, but I HATE daylight saving time.  You’ll notice the time, its 12:03 am, and I’m not even on the brink of sleep. For those of you who know me, I’m in bed before 10:00 unless there is a natural disaster or emergency at hand. Nothing gets in the way of my sleep.  I’ve been known to sleep through earthquakes, drunk sorority girls at 3:00 am, and snoring, compliments of my awesome boyfriend. (He really is awesome.)  Meanwhile, work awaits and it will not be gentle if I come in tomorrow with bags under my eyes and slurred speech.

I will get used to it in a few days, I’m sure, but for right now, I can’t help but grimace at the fact that tomorrow I will be a tired mess, for sure. I’ve tried everything, closing my eyes, meditating, wine, reading, watching boring television, a hot shower, lots of blankets, and even tea. (I will never try warm milk ever again, thanks Mom, but it never worked and was just really gross.) It seems that the moral of today’s story is that complaining doesn’t make me sleepier. Although if it did, I’d certainly complain till my heart’s content!

Anyone else have great tips to fall asleep?
